Kevin Rushing
Conference Choir & Special Music Coordinator

Born a preacher’s son and drenched in all that makes up the United Pentecostal Church International, Kevin understood early on that God’s gift of music spoke loudly and clearly to his soul.  He feels the most fulfilling way of offering back to God the talent bestowed upon him is through the expression of worship via music.

As a teenager, Kevin would often awaken mid-slumber full of Godly inspiration only to find the ability to create a new song in his library of worship.  Midnight echoings of newly composed music in praise of God filled his home and heart.

Kevin started hammering the keys at age four and by ten years gave his first vocal and instrumental church performance.  At thirteen, Kevin assembled a youth quartet which eventually grew into a fifteen member chorale – inspiring audiences in his home assembly as well as in multiple countries abroad.

At age 17, Kevin was appointed Minister of Music of his church and spent the next ten years growing and developing the church’s ability to worship through its music.

Kevin currently resides in St. Helena, California and serves in ministry with the music department of Freedom in Christ Church of San Francisco.
